362. Chapter: On the strong prohibition of sorcery

Allah Almighty says, "Sulayman did not disbelieve, but the shaytans did, teaching men sorcery." (W2:101; H2:102)

1793. Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Avoid the seven fatal sins." They said, "Messenger of Allah, what are they?" He said, "Associating with Allah, sorcery, killing a soul which Allah has forbidden except by legal right, consuming usury, consuming the property of an orphan, fleeing on the day of battle and slandering unthinking chaste believing women."
